Urban Meyer began his Ohio State career by posting a perfect season. 12 victories, no losses. Michigan has not won in Columbus since 2000. During the past 11 seasons they have beaten the Buckeyes only twice. In ten seasons Tressel lost to Michigan only one time. The fans gave him a standing ovation at the 10th anniversary of the last perfect season. Braxton Miller put up gawdy numbers, and the Buckeyes appear to be perfectly positioned to make a run at the title next year. I believe that Alabama will beat Notre Dame in the title game this year, leaving Ohio State as the last FBS program that's undefeated. Urban Meyer has certainly lived up to his billing so far. Ohio State remains unbeaten. Its a shame that we're not bowl eligible this year, we could be playing Notre Dame for a title. Montee Ball continued his great play, causing problems for OSU. He set tied a record for 78 touchdowns in a season. He has one more game left to break that record. Ohio State's defense did the job today, showing that this year's team is fantastic, and next year's team should be able to contend pretty well. Next week is the BIG GAME. Michigan comes in with 3 losses on the season. The game does scare me a bit, you just never know what will happen. Go Buckeyes!!! -11/17/12

Ohio State continued its undefeated season, winning game 10 on the back of play from Braxton Miller. Miller is beginning to generate Heisman talk. It would be fascinating if the Heisman trophy would be won by a team ineligible for the post season. Carlos Hyde has begun to really establish himself as the go to running back for this season. Next week the Buckeyes will enjoy a bye week. Then we face Wisconsin, and finally Michigan. Go Buckeyes!!! -11/3/12

Defenses played a big part today, and Braxton Miller was great running for 134 yeards, and accounted for 3 touchdowns. Braxton Miller is the first Buckeye in history to run for more than 1000 yards in a season. Bill O'Brien, head coach of Penn State, has done a phenomenal job this season regrouping his team, and bringing the focus back to Penn State, and off of Jerry Sandusky. I think Penn State is going to suffer for quite a few more years. The Buckeyes are now 9-0 for the first time since 2007. They don't always look pretty, but they do show up to play. Braxton Miller was hurt near the end of the game. Kenny Guiton entered the game, and proved that he is also a quality quarterback. He got a touchdown, and 2 point conversion to tie the game. Then in OT, the Buckeyes scored a touchdown. Ohio State is now 8-0. Go Buckeyes!!! -10/20/12

Ohio State managed to fend off a come back from Indiana who definitely hammered the OSU defense. The Buckeyes continue the season undefeated. Braxton Miller is absolutely the best talent we've had in Columbus for quite some time. Braxton got 360 yards total. Carlos Hyde had a great game. Indiana is a quality team. One of the best from that school for quite some time. Next up is Purdue. Go Buckeyes!!! -10/13/12

The Buckeyes put up the most against a Big Ten opponent since 1983. Miller was fantastic, and finally it wasn't just a one player game. I expected a close game. The Buckeyes are getting better, and better. Go Buckeyes!!! -10/6/12

The Buckeyes played an evenly matched game against MSU, and came out ahead. Braxton Miller moved the ball well throwing for 179 yeards, and rushing for 130. The Big Ten is pathetic this season, from top to bottom, its a shame that OSU is banned from the postseason. Its long past time to revise the rules governing NCAA football. Urban Meyer is now the 3rd coach in Ohio State history to start 5-0 in his first season, joining Carol Widdoes, and Earle Bruce. Carroll Widdoes coached Ohio State to a national title in 1944, and had a 58-38-5 record overall, and went 16-2 at OSU. Earle Bruce had an overall record of 154-90-2, and had an 81-26-1 record at OSU. I hope Meyer does better than this. Tressel maintains the highest winning percentage of all OSU coaches. - 9/29/12

UAB began the game by blocking a punt, and scoring on it. Ohio State then had an explosive 2nd half, with 21 points. They have been somewhat soft compared to most of our teams recently, however they are still undefeated. If memory serves, the magic season of 2002 had much the same feel. The Buckeyes have claimed that they want to be the "Peoples' Champion" this year, by going out and winning all of their games. It certainly looks possible this year. The other Big Ten teams do not seem to be having a banner season anyhow. The Big Ten will have a difficult time placing 8 teams to their contracted bowl slots this year. Ohio State, and Penn State are both prohibited, and that leaves 10 other teams. Can you name 8 that you feel will be bowl eligible at the end of the season? California played a great game, and could easily have won, however Ohio State got the interception when it needed it. Braxton Miller turned in a great performance today, more like that of a passer, and not as much a rusher. Ohio State still doesn't have much of a running game. Next week Alabama-Birmingham. The Buckeyes are still unbeaten, but do not look "unbeatable". Meyer says he's not happy with where they are. Miller rushed for 3 touchdowns, the first Buckeyes QB to accomplish that feat in 34 years. We'll see where we are in 7 days when we play California. Go Buckeyes!!! -9/8/12

Braxton Miller rushed for 163 yards, setting a record for a Buckeyes quarterback. They began a bit slowly, but really piled on the points. I think its obvious that Meyer is not going to have any issue running up a score when he chooses to. How he'll do overall will be more dependent on next year than this, as this year the Buckeyes are prohibited from post season play. Go Buckeyes!!! -9/1/12
